TInterior and Local Government Minister Atty Naguib Sinarimbo congratulated the 29 potential 2019 SGLG Awardees during the Orientation Briefing : Prepping Up for National Validation held at Glamour Convention Hall, Cotabato City.
MILG-BARMM is now gearing up for the National Validation for the 2019 Seal of Good Local Governance.
This, as Minister Sinarimbo urged the field officers and local government to work hand in hand and step up in their performance to be able to bag the seal.
Minister Sinarimbo in his message noted that the number of SGLG potential awardees in the region dropped to 29 from the initial 32 awardees.
This year, the potential awardees are Basilan Province, Lamitan City, Sumisip and Maluso, all of Basilan; Talipao of Sulu; Simunul and Sibutu of Tawi-Tawi; Kapatagan, Buadipuso Buntong, Taraka, Piagapo, Calanogas, Balabagan of Lanao del Sur; Maguindanao Province, Barira, Buldon, Datu Abdullah Sangki, Datu Paglas, Guindulungan, Matanog, Shariff Aguak, Upi, South Upi, Sultan Kudarat, Kabuntalan, Sultan sa Barongis, Paglat, Pagalungan and Datu Piang all of Maguindanao.
With this, the Minister hoped that this year, all the 29 would be conferred with the most coveted SGLG award.
In 2018, the Region had 23 awardees.
